چکیده

The aim of our study is to assess the local cytokine levels as prognostic factors for early relapse in NMIBC patients. 75 patients with were enrolled study: 51 primary and 24 initially recurrent NMIBC, LG HG tumors diagnosed each group. Patients monitored during 9 months after treatment: TURB chemotherapy (No. 6). During samples taken, supernatants obtained tissue measured (IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10, IL-18, TNFα, IFNγ, IL-8) by ELISA test. results showed that relapses 15 (46.8%) 11 (45%) matching there was no difference depending upon tumor grade. In both amounts cytokines maximal: they exceeded ones from 7.1 (IFNγ) 300 (IL-6) while - 2.0 (IL-10) 9.7 (IL-6). IL-1β, IL-8 higher those which relapsed 6-9 compared didn't, though their much lower than manifested (from 2.6 times IFNy 150 IL-6). A similar trend, not all same cytokines, observed tumors: IL-18 TNFα treatment. increase 2 cytokines' common (IL-6 IL-10). This finding might be considered a new factor relapse. We conclude related some immune mechanisms, namely hyperproduction especially IL-6 IL-8, IFNγ could have an impact on — tumors. Taking into account signaling pathways IL-10 like JAK/STAT, these transcription potential targets effective approaches

mRNA Expression of S100A8 as a Prognostic Marker for Progression of Non-Muscle-Invasive Bladder Cancer

PURPOSE S100A8 is a member of the S100 protein family containing 2EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. S100 proteins are involved in the regulation of a number of cellular processes such as cell cycle progression and differentiation. Altered expression of this protein is associated with various diseases and cancers. The present study aimed to evaluate whether S100A8 has prognostic value for non-musc...

RSPH9 methylation pattern as a prognostic indicator in patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.

DNA methylation is a frequent and early epigenetic event with potential application as a biomarker for cancer detection and an indicator of disease evolution. The aim of the present study was to identify novel methylation markers for the prediction of patient outcomes using microarray analysis of DNA methylation in samples from long-term follow-up patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cance...

Prognostic factors for conditional survival in patients with muscle-invasive urothelial carcinoma of the bladder treated with radical cystectomy

Because only a few studies have evaluated conditional survival (CS) in bladder cancer patients, we examined conditional overall survival (OS) and cancer-specific survival (CSS) in these patients after radical cystectomy (RC), and determined which prognostic variables affect CS over time. We reviewed 487 patients treated with RC and pelvic lymph node dissection at our institution between 1991 an...

Cytokeratin 20 in Transitional Cell Carcinoma of Bladder and Its Relation with Prognostic Factors

Background and Aims: Immunohistochemical tests are one of the most important tests, which are under study to determine the prognosis of the cancers such as transitional cell carcinoma. By the time, flexible cystoscopy and urine cytology are the routine tests for following up the patients with transitional cell carcinoma, which are both operator dependent. On the other hand, cystoscopy is an inv...

Treatment of non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer

Ta tumors — Ta tumors are noninvasive papillary lesions that are confined to the urothelium and have not penetrated the basement membrane. These papillary tumors usually present as low-grade lesions that frequently recur multiple times prior to becoming invasive. The natural history of patients with Ta tumors without other evidence of invasive disease or Tis was illustrated by a retrospective s...
